Thanks for your advice, not too sure I  

have the ongoing time to prune a        

Leylandi.                               

  I assume roses gone to the briar need 

ripping out & starting again?

 Well the Leylandi was just an idea.    

 Sorry to say, yes you will have to take

 the roses out & start again. You could 

 try pruning them back hard this winter,

 then wait to see what happens to them  

 in the spring. But I would not hold out

 much luck, better to start again.
