present ties with political parties?    

From now on I shall refuse to be judged 

by anyone who belongs or has belonged   

to any organisation that I don't        

subscribe to myself.                    

I can do that, can't I?

 I couldn't name a law lord, other than 

 Hoffman, so I haven't a clue what ties 

 they may, or may not, have.  Most lords

         are appointed by the totally   

         apolitical Prime Minister!
