 PC sales on the up in the UK           

 The UK PC market grew by 21 per cent to

 more than 2.5 million units last year, 

 with the value rising by some 24 per   

 cent to over 4.5 billion, according to 

 a recent report by market research firm

 Romtec. The survey found that 34 per   

 cent of sales were machines based on   

 Intel's Pentium processor, while       

 multimedia models accounted for 19 per 

 cent of all sales - up from five per   

 cent in 1994. Good news for retail,    

 too, as sales through the High Street
